Our jewelry is built to last for many years. But few know that their continuous care is necessary for them to be maintained in perfect condition. Take advantage of the following simple tips.
PRECAUTIONS
Remove all Jewelry when performing difficult tasks.
When dealing with manual tasks, remove your Jewelry to prevent injury or exposure to chemicals and cleaning fluids. Avoid wearing Jewelry during kitchen work, gardening, house cleaning and other related tasks or when you are holding a baby or an infant.
Put your Jewelry on after you have finished face or body treatments.
Make-up, cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, lotions and body creams may contain chemicals that can damage your Jewelry. Putting on your Jewelry after you have completed body or facial treatments will protect them, especially pearls.
CARE – CLEANING
For ladies who wear them regularly, it is obvious that Jewelry must be clean and in good appearance. Here are some tips that will surely help.
Use special polishing cloths designed for Jewelry.
For silver or gold, buy a Jewelry polishing cloth for best results. You may also use old pieces of clothing with a drop of rubbing alcohol. This method cannot be used for pearls or genuine turquoise.
Careful Cleaning.
Regular cleaning of your Jewelry may maintain them in excellent condition, but you need to be careful. Some cleaning fluids available in the market may destroy a piece of Jewelry, if they are not specifically designed for it. Don’t forget to consult with us frequently.
Avoid cleaning your own damaged Jewelry.
If you find that a piece of Jewelry is damaged, bring it to our workshop for repair.
Inspect your Jewelry regularly.
When cleaning your Jewelry, it is a good opportunity to check for any problems. Signs of deterioration, color changes or looseness of the precious stones are all indications that you should visit our skilled craftsman for repair and maintenance. His knowledge and craftsmanship will prevent any further damage and your Jewelry will be returned in its previous condition.
REPAIR
Take care of your Jewelry. Prevention is the best way to avoid the need for repair. With a simple periodical check you can easily verify that your Jewelry is still in good condition.
If however –by omission or any other cause- your Jewelry needs repairing or restoring, our workshop is always at your disposal. Our experienced personnel will handle any cleaning, repair or restoration of your Jewelry.
STORAGE
Store your Jewelry with great care in their specially designed packaging. If this is not possible, then wrap them carefully, one by one, with satin or cotton fabric. Find a way for them not to touch against each other. This requires a little time, but if you don’t spend the appropriate amount of time you may end up with scratches, dents or entangled chains in your Jewelry. Place them in a sturdy box, such as a Jewelry box.
Handling your Jewelry with continuous care will ensure that their sparkle and value is passed on to the next generations.
